Inspired: Mother of Fashion Styling

Meet Grace Coddington Creative Director and Anna Wintour Editor in Chief of Vogue, the briliant mega force behind Vogue magazine.
So last Monday in class our lecture bought in a fashion documentary that turned Grace from one of fashion’s best kept secrets into a household celebrity. For those of you who haven’t seen the documentary, “IT IS A MUST”. It's based on the September Issue which takes us behind-the-scenes with Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and her staff (including Grace Coddington) during the production of the September 2007 issue of American Vogue. It’s an amazing documentary I really loved it and immediately fell in love with Grace’s creative work.

Grace began modelling for Vogue after winning a model competition at age 17 but after a car accident at 26 she badly damaged her eye and her career in modelling was over. This however, began her career as an editor at Vogue and she found her true calling.

Grace and Anna (EDITOR IN CHIEF OF VOGUE) have been working together for years now in simple they are growing old together in this fashion business. While Editor in chief ANNA WINTOUR has been making the magazine powerful over the last two decades, the Creative Director GRACE CODDINGTON has been making it beautiful. As you can see these two are finger and nail on the front row at fashion shows.

Recently Grace released a book called “A Memoir”. The book re-counts a life of fame, fashion, fierce work ethic and world-travel.  The creative director of American Vogue made an impact on the fashion world so great that she became an international icon, and this book tells you what happening along the way. The reviews are good as well, can’t wait to get my hands on the book.

If you are a big fashion fan, or even a fan of the 60′s and 70′s as decades of change and excitement, then we would recommend getting your hands on this book. And your eyes on the documentary that influenced it. You won’t regret it.
Here are a few of my favourite editorial styling picture from Grace!!

This was my all time favourite shoot, on the doccumentary she actually calls the photographer and tell him not to dare edit/photoshop the camera mans tummy, she wants him looking natural and not like fake muscleman lol
